CHAIR STORIES AND OTHER TALES of the Stomps and Burkhardt Families of Dayton, Ohio focuses on much of the same time period as the GEMS book, but with special attention to how this history impacted Gustave H. Stomps and his relatives. Gustave H. Stomps is the great-grandfather of Allan L. Horvath and his siblings. Allan's sister Gail Horvath edits this book with both historical and current photos, and with the text woven together from numerous quotes by relatives and by associates of the family's two main businesses: The Stomps-Burkhardt Chair Factory and Stomps Chevrolet Dealership. Color photos are primarily by James H. De Young.
